Storyboard

We've cateogrised our storyboard into three parts:

 

The Pink post it notes represent the bedroom scene

The Orange post it notes represent the Shopping/Town scene

Finally, The blue represents the forest scene.

Since planning/drawing our moodboard in the photo above, We've added more post-it notes, this time in light green to represent the house scene towards the end of our video. This is where the climax occurs as the best friend sees the torn up photo. Because this was added in later, it's not included in our animatic

1) Close up of things on floor (scissors, photo)

 

2) Close up of protagonist's hand holding/cutting the photo

 

3) A high angle where we see the character from the top

 

4) Close up/mid shot (high level) to see the character's facial expression

 

5) Over the shoulder shot to see the character sticking the photo together

 

6) Medium shot of the character sitting on the floor next to her bed

 

7) Close up shot of the photo

 

8) Low angle shot/ another close up of Ella's face

 

9&10) A long shot of Ella's body language/ standing up whilst holding the photo.

 

11) Same as number 4

13) Same as number 4

 

14) Over the shoulder shot of Ella looking at the photo

 

15) Medium shot of Ella putting the photo beside her bed

 

16) Focus when Ella sits on her bed and looks directly at the photo

Scene 1 - Bedroom (Intro)

1) Establishing shot of the shopping centre/town (depending on which location we end up filming in)

 

2)Long shot of Ella walking towards the camera (performance shot)

 

3)Medium shot of Ella walking towards camera (performance shot)

 

4) Over the shoulder so the audience can see the couple together holding hands

 

5)Long shot/ Rule of thirds - Ella placed on one side of frame (performance shot)

 

*6)Tracking shot of her holding pole walking towards the camera 

 

*7)Close up of her hand touching pole which represents her wanting to feel his presence.

 

8)Close up of Ella and best friend's boyfriend holding hands (this represents the dream within a dream - she's quickly imagining how it would be if she was with him)

 

9&10)Close up of Ella feeling joy, happiness from holding his hand (dream within a dream)

 

11) Over the shoulder/ Tracking - Walking towards the store - following best friend & the boyfriend 

 

12&13) Close up of boyfriend's facial expression and shops

 

14) Close up of Best friend quite timid. She's smiling/giggling whilst looking at her boyfriend 

 

15) Over the shoulder from best friend. Camera faces the boyfriend

 

16) Mid-shot - The couple facing eachother with precise eye contact. Enjoying eachothers company

 

17) Low angle to Mid shot 

 

*18) Mid-shot -  The couple walk out of store with his arms around her.

 

19) Low angle - Ground shot of their feet walking - followed by Ella's as she's walking behind

 

*20) Over the shoulder - Ella goes down the escalator and sees both of them (non performance)
